Summer in Harrietville is seriously rejuvenating. This is definitely one of the peak times to visit our region. The enviable alpine climate and long leisurely days are ideal for adventurous holidays and fantastic outdoor living.
The abundance of events including markets, cycle races, rallies, and much more, there is always going to be something exciting, or something relaxing to do when you visit Harrietville.
Officially 1 December to 28 February – daytime temperatures hover between 25° - 35°C. In the evenings cooler mountain air descends on the valley allowing for comfortable evenings around a barbeque or getting a good night sleep. Early mornings and long days provide plenty of time for play.
It's not all about trying paragliding, downhill mountain biking and white water rafting. Harrietville happily lends itself to everyone's idea of fun and there are plenty of laughs to be had around a game of Bocce in the gardens of Casbak or an invigorating sauna and then swim under the stars.
Summertime is also high season for the region's many stunning walking tracks up and around Mt Feathertop or Mt Hotham.
